This is the official HWZ Health & Fitness Corner stats page, where everyone interested can list their lifting stats and see where everyone stands. If you lift weights, please, add your stats to the list. If you aren't doing the lifts in this list, you really should! Start doing them today and report back when you know your stats :)

The Lifts
Let's just concentrate on the big 3 - bench press, back squat, deadlift. All lifts are done full ROM, i.e.

  1. For bench press, barbell touching your torso and back up
  2. For squats, full ATG squats(no parallel)
  3. For deadlifts, plates touching the ground and all the way up to lockout

The Lists
Top benchers/squatters/deadlifters/poundage is the raw/absolute 1RM weight that you can lift. 1RM stands for 1 repetition max(I know, 1 isn't a repetition but let's get over that technicality), i.e. if you can lift 100kg for 1 rep, your numbers in those lists will be 100.

Top benchers/squatters/deadlifters/poundage by BW takes into account your weight, and hence it's a strength to weight ratio, i.e. if you can lift 100kg for 1 rep and you weigh 50kg, your numbers in those lists will be 100/50 = 2.00.

Total poundage takes the numbers from the big 3 lifts and adds them up for a total number.

Because many people don't do 1RMs in their workouts, 1RM numbers can be calculated from http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/1rm.htm. If you don't mention how many reps you're lifting I'll assume it's 1RM.

Let's get the numbers out there. Big money big money! :)

The numbers so far(1RM calculated):

Good good, finally people are streaming in :)
fishbuff are those 5RM numbers or 1RM? Impressive nonetheless.

I've tabulated everyone's big 3 into the first post. :)

OK I've tabulated the top lifters just like the fortified-iron format that inspired this post, so please keep those numbers coming so I can keep adding them. BTW since people do different reps I've calculated the 1RM from however many reps we are doing. It's not 100% but it's the best I can do. I've used the one over at bb.com since it seems to be the most conservative calculator. If there are any mistakes please let me know and I'll correct them.

Nice lifts. Where are your entries Bryan540 and 2722555? Come come! Don't shy!

fishbuff, in the interest of keeping everything as identical as possible, we'll have to agree on 1 type of squat, and since I started this thread, I decide it's gonna be ATG :D But of course if you enter your // squat numbers I'll enter it in as well. It's just for fun and virtual anyway :) btw who's shaiful? Someone from the forums?

Funicle, is that 4 or 5? You gotta make up your mind! It affects the 1RM calculation.

Also, if you guys don't mind, please do calculate your 1RM with the 1RM calculator in the link in the first post, it makes my job a lil easier updating the records. Thanks, and keep those numbers coming!

Slipped disc
that's a very negative view..
don't let the doctors tell you what to do, they tell people not to do certain things to
protect themselves so that they don't get sued. The best way to get over your slipped disc
and not let it bother you in your life is to train your stomach and back muscles, your stabilisers,
ie, your core. trust me, I know of many ppl with slipped discs who live perfectly normal lifes and
lift a lot more than most. Squats, Deads, Cleans. They do it all. Don't sell yourself short.

Of course if you just sustained the injury, rest 1st, and when the trauma has more or less subsided,
then start slow.

cheers
